Mental Health Act Training Courses
Mental Health Act Training Requirement
All applicants seeking Section 12(2) or Approved Clinician approval or reapproval are required to have completed a nationally accredited Mental Health Act induction training course or refresher training course prior to submitting an application for approval or reapproval.
- Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board provides accredited national training four times a year.
- Induction courses are held over two full days and refresher courses over one full day.
- Delegates must fully complete the course before attendance certificates are awarded.
- Note that attendance at a course is only one part of the approval process, and a course certificate should not be offered or accepted as evidence of approval. Delegates must also submit an application for approval
